From Ashes Anew

All the times we shared
I look back now and it was like you were never really there
Indecisive behavior gave birth to your nature
A year wasted,
Bitter sweat it tasted.
Watch as the clock ticks faster
Over 300 days amounted and locked in a cannister
Then trown away and tossed over the bannister
Time is a valiable thing
Is what my heart sings
Especially one with whom i attached strings
Or so i thought
Now like a unstringed guitar
No song does it bring
5 days away from seing you
And a week til our anniversary
I guess the love you felt for me was false and not true
But i guess thats nothing new
Did you ever really care?
Were you ever really there?
I ponder but it matters not
Now its just a troublesome thought
In the beginning you used me as a support beam
Ranting about your ex and how he did you with his cheating
As I... the faithful; only struggled sometimes internally
No one to help me but my melodies
Such as my mind flows.
Like a vast sea
And still it wasn't good enough for you i see
So with you now. I plant this last tree
To tell you im becoming more of me
And spread my wings
Im free
