Love Poem: Friends

Friends

The Lord made friends to cherish and hold,
And to be a big part of the stories you’ve told.

Someone who will lend an ear or maybe a hand,
And listen when you have problems and understand.

Friendships have no boundaries or distance,
They are always there to lend a hand, to be of some assistance.

A true friend has no price tag,
But they’ll help you climb that hill when you start to lag.

When you are sick they are usually the first ones there,
To help you in your time of need to show they really care.

And the only thing they expect from you is just the same,
To help them also should they get sick or lame.

What’s fair is fair that’s what makes it so great,
They’re the type that will share everything upon their plate.

To all the friends I’ve got I say thanks a lot,
Know this you’ll always have a soft spot in my heart.

And when I say my prayers you are included there,
I pray for you because I care.
