Fourth of July Boundaries

If I should tell you what I think,
That's not me glowing in the night,
And you don't have to acquiesce,
(For fireworks fun is never fight.)

If heart spews colors when you’re near,
I am not saying you're the one,
But when there's popping in my ears,
My chores are always left undone.

Though moonlight begs to ask for dance,
I swear your sparkle makes brain stall,
Not knowing right from left seems dumb,
For punk like me, one chance is all!

As I grow old, if you're still here,
Let's have some wine, our brains embalm,
New stars glow red; before I'm dead,
"Would you please be my Cherie Bomb?"
