Forgiveness
Of all the things I should do in life,
Forgiveness gives me most of my strife.
When someone has wronged you and you know what they have done,
It’s hard to show forgiveness when you’re mad at that one.
The Lord says to pray for that person night and day,
Ask the Lord to forgive that person is what you pray.
But sometimes hurt can blind your heart,
That is why forgiveness is so important from the start.
God will be your Champion this very day,
If you don’t allow bitterness to stand in the way.
Open your mouth with praise and song,
Let God lead you and keep you where you belong.
You have to forgive in order to be forgiven is the way this works,
Should you choose not to forgive don’t look to God for Heavenly perks.
So if there is someone you need to forgive,
Go ahead and do it so you can love and live.
Vengeance is not ours it will only darken our paths,
And cause the Lord to turn against you and hasten His wrath.
Lord please forgive me for being so blind,
As I ask forgiveness for those who are still on my mind.
