Forever We'll Be

You and Me...

You and me, seemed to always be,
Like the colors of autumn,
Rhythmic as the birch’s quiet gold,
And, the breathless scarlet of a maple’s smile.
Forever dancing in the winds, so calming,
Pouring out joy across the moonlit nights.

You and me, we were always the dream,
Reflecting moments of anticipation –
Wondering – will we ever be together?
Restless and yearning, hearts always burning,
With the flames of a passion, enthusiastic,
Kindling the feelings, trembling, yet gentle.

You and me, where would we be?
Without this love, this trembling reverie…
In the stillness of a moment kissed
By the flames of our song, our convictions,
Realized by guitars who echo feelings,
Love so strong, it overshadows the stars.

You and me, when our hearts united,
Felt the glimpse of grace,
Beautiful that can’t be explained
Or explained away…
It was a gesture of compassion, beyond
Words, beyond dreams, beyond us.

You and me, falling softly,
From the darkness of a night
Where we sought love’s gentle light,
And, found the source of our smiles,
In the answers from hearts joined,
By the mystery of thirst for everything –

Everything, His blessings…
Strewn, more countless than the stars,
In a soft sky, shimmering with the sparkle,
The wonder of forever in the eyes,
Who glimpse hope, faith and love –
Not just the passion, but the promise…

Forever, on the wings of truth –
When He gave us one another, He gave us…
In a sense, the assurance…
That life could be more blessed,
More fortunate, more pleasant, than our hearts
Had ever expected – together, in our souls,
We hold the incredulity of – not just a feeling,
But the expressions of real love – love that lasts forever!
