Love Poem: Forever My Love

Forever My Love

How long, you may ask
Will I always be true?
Forever my love
Forever my love

How long will I bask
In the wonder of you?
Forever my love
Forever my love

How long will I be
In my own fantasy
When your lips
Are the joy of my day

And why should I pout
Or be ridden with doubt
When I know
That you love me today

If the sea
Is for sailing together
And the sun
Is a rose-colored hue

Then the moonlight above
Is a symbol of love
When the stars
Are a mariner's view

How long is our sweet
Undertaking
Forever my love
Forever my love

How long is the love
We are making
Forever my love
Forever my love

How brief is the night
When the evening is bright
And the lovelight
Is shining in you

How long is the day
When I miss you and say
That the sky
Has a purplish hue

If our laugh, is a lock
On forever
And our joy
Is a jubilant sight

Then our heaven will be
When you lie next to me
In a dream of forever
Goodnight.
