I know that you didn't expect me
To write a poem about this,
But I just felt so honored.
I wrote it down. I couldn't resist.
You tell me what you love about my writing.
My family won't even bother.
I now look up to you so much,
My father away from father.
It made me smile, even cry when you told me
I fill your heart with honor.
I was surprised you could put a smile on my face.
Once again I feel like daughter.
