For Such a Sunny Day, Why Is It Raining In My Heart
We had a silly lover's quarrel.
The words got way out of hand!
I grabbed my coat and went out the door,
I was through with love,
understand!
As I stepped into the daylight
trying to leave my love behind,
it occurred to me,
it was bright and sunny
and I had this cloud on my mind!
"For such a sunny day,

Is this the price you pay

I tried to escape the feeling
of once having held her so near,
but the day we first met,
it was sunny like this...
the sunniest day of the year!
I'm trying to be strong
but I've sadness.
My heart has lost it's spark!
How in the world on a day like today
is it sunny and my world's so dark???

I walked for what seemed like forever
trying to find some calming peace,
but step by step on this bright sunny day
I can't enjoy it to say the least!
As my steps began to get shorter,
one thing became crystal clear....
I walked out love's door,
on the sunniest of days,
but it's the saddest day of the year!
