I like to write you poems every single day
So many things to tell you, so many things to say
I'm sorry if the theme of love tends to be so much
Of what I rhyme and reason in my words as such
It's just that you to me are more than just the cat's meow
And if I had my druthers someday would be right now
I hope that I don't anger you or make you mad at me
But if I do please tell me and I will stop this spree
Of words and rhymes, the fountain flows, not seeming to run dry
And I am not surprised or shocked how come that is, or why
It's because I write these things for you, the woman I adore
And these are just small poems, I could render so much more
But I will be content as such with what I now can give
I hope you'll always want me to for as long as you will live
