For I Am Not That Brave

For I Am Not That Brave

Sombre calls, echoes from memories and lost days
Images appearing only to bring on deep heartache.
Nights envisioned in a daze- her charming ways
such that feelings, break stones for lost love's sake.

Alas! No touch and kiss can ever be allowed
for her ghostly image touches no true earth.
She rare, delicious fruit of rich fertile fields plowed
heavenly rose in bloom from first day of birth.

No more! Epic loss now invades these wishful dreams
light of reality shows dead flowers on her grave.
Never again, seeing her dancing within moonbeams
nor my now joining her, for I am not that brave!

Each night, longing to dance with her once again
knowing when dream ends, comes back far greater pain!
