For God's Love Is My Shield
This is my life....from old self to new
that I want to say, and let the world know
how happy I am for the choice I made,
because I now possess the image,
of heavenly man,
by whom I was redeemed!
This is my life....a humble one
that I desire to share with my enemies;
though they're like Goliath before me,
they cannot defeat me, for God's love is my shield
and His holy will---is my shining armor!
This is my life....filled with hope
that I need to tell my friends,
so they too, may find the wisdom
that will ease their pain,
and will set them free---from sorrow!
This is my life....filled with joy
that my children will remember,
from blood to blood will pass
my sole legacy....that will bear fruits
of everlasting love!
This is my life....the Church Of Christ,
you are my brothers....and my sisters;
united we are
in reaching the maturity of our faith,
come judgment day
we all will be without blemish!
This is my life....a precious life
that my Heavenly Father gave to me
and as for me,
I will safeguard it!
and I will trust in You, O Lord,
for as long as I live!
