For Every Heart

A silver tongue's intoxicating pitch allows little time for contemplation. For witty words inevitably switch from flattery to manipulation. To lessen the hurt of rejection's sting, you've learned to stifle your emotions. And yet, to find love, you'll try anything, even crystal balls and magic potions. You're desperate to find someone to love, a forever mate to hold and treasure. For your heart will accept nothing short of a lifetime of happiness and pleasure. As hope dwindles, fantasy dreams play out, oft leading you to a false conclusion. And the frustration can turn into doubt in this erratic state of confusion. For every heart, there is a counterpart, your soulmate’s out there waiting to be found. And when you meet, you'll know it from the start, for your pulse will race, and your heart will pound.
