Love Poem: Fool That I Am

Fool That I Am

There is a place in his town where fools gather
And talk about times that their loves have gone wrong
He joined that group with a redhead behind him
And thought of the times he was gone way too long

She had those green eyes to match auburn tresses
A laugh like an angel to match her sweet smile
He took her for granted, should have known better
A smarter man took her in just a short while

Somewhere a cowboy drinks his tequila
Somewhere a redhead has broken his heart
He's never been here but he will learn quickly
Some salt and some lime is a good place to start

Somewhere there's a cowboy now playing the fool
Somewhere there's a redhead who don't give a damn
He's joined his comrades who number quite many
And repeats their slogan,"The fool that I am"
