Love Poem: Fluttering

Fluttering

years and years have gone by…
all the tiny fragments of life blended in coherence
when I met my first love again in the lustre of twilight sunset,
beside the ancient dock with grey planks,
my heart fluttering, probably his too.

The champagne rays of sun surrounding our existence,
glimmering with a gorgeous glow,
We remembered what we lost!
As if this is our first, and last - no tomorrow!

I remembered picking of the sprawled jasmine flower-buds at dawn,
with pearls of dew still glinting on them,
remembered the necklaces made,
priceless than of glistening diamonds.

remembered getting drenched with occasional drizzle of rain -
like waves of music caressing our hearts,
when we savoured the ambrosial togetherness.
We remembered the long walks holding hands,
yearning spreading the electrifying hues of our dream,
As if we would never let each other go!

After years and years,
our eyes meet in the shimmering light of dusk,
I see our hearts glow in the twilight hours,
drowned in the same enthralling light,
encompassed  by the same engulfing trance,
And once again our fluttering hearts melt
in the cascade of love!
