Love Poem: Fits of Passion

Fits of Passion

Teardrops falling
Flickering fast
Build a sailboat
Assemble a mast

Ready the dock
Tears bring rain
No need for an anchor
The flood will be insane

So sail away from port
And never return
Isolation is an alibi
You Love or you learn

We can sail far away
And travel a wave
Forget the heart
It is only a knave

Travel the seas
And assemble wit
Tales of lovers
Never forget

They will drive our mind
And pass the time
Tales of sorrow
And tales of rhyme

So man the boat
And assemble the mast
Before our lovers
Are no longer our past

For they are a drop of water
In this vast-less sea
I can show you the world
Come away with me

Travel our mind
And not our heart
Think with logic
Now you are smart

We can make it a song
As simple as one, two, three
And carelessly sing afloat
Because we are free

Above the water
Above the tides
Neglected and bare
Equanimity resides
