Fit Together
I see you, looking at me, and I wonder,
what are you thinking about?
Your eyes are focused on mine,
although I can sense that you're
someplace else.
Where are you right now, I think
to myself.
Are you with me, or are you
focused on something else?
Sometimes I'm sure, that's how
you feel about me.
As if I'm physically there, but
mentally and emotionally, I'm
in another world.
Another time, maybe even another
place, and it bothers me;
as I'm sure it bothers you.
I know that I can get repetitious
on occasion and I apologize
for that part of me, that I
sometimes cannot control.
Deep down though, I'm really
thinking about you, trying to look
into your eyes, seeing into your
soul.
No matter where my mind is,
my heart is with you constantly.
No matter where I physically am,
my thoughts are with you.
I do still wonder sometimes,
what you're thinking, because
you do not always tell me;
and rightfully so.
You shouldn't have to.
If you're upset about something,
though, I should be the one you
come to.
For I am always going to be here.
I am always going to be with you.
I am always going to love you,
even if you feel my mind is
elsewhere.
It just means I have a lot to
think about.
Doing things on your own,
is not easy.
Making plans to start your
life, is not simple.
And it doesn't happen
right away.
In order for that to occur,
you have to make it happen.
And Lord knows...
I'm doing my best.
I know I can be annoying,
bothersome and even sometimes
downright in a bad mood, but;
so can you.
And I deal with it.
I deal with it, because of
love.
Because of us.
Because it's going to
be you and me, for as
long as you want me.
When all else fails,
just remember that I
love you, and will
never stop loving you.
More than you probably
realize.
We will make this work.
We balance each other out.
We compliment each other.
We just;
fit together.
