First Love

A Lonely World
Married twice, does that sound nice? Am I now a scarlet or a heretic?
Full of rhetorical questions, and left alone in a world so cruel.
Oh, how you played me like the fool.

We hurt one another , we did so twice, do you think that sounds nice?
A complicated world, full of so much confusion, longing for a deeper meaning in the name of life.

We question God, and run back to him for answers, only to forget faith and hope in a restless world.

I like to be still, feel the wind, smell my surroundings, soak in the earth, know a love that will never depart.

A kind of unconditional yet passionate love that I once shared.
As the world is so lonely; no-one seems to care.

I played your queen; you were the king , a game of chess for the political class of unrighteous blasphemy on both sides.

A Romeo and Juliet story, full of love and hate, and in eternity they live together once again in peace.
Lovers reuniting once again, until the day she awaits her lovers reprise.

No, not a scarlet don’t brand me like so. I once was a princess with Romeo in hand, we played together so well like an old cover band.

Like Hank Williams Senior and his country song blues, his broken back, and gambling too.
