Love Poem: First Date

First Date

Palms of antisipation, perspiring with the thought of humiliation
A brass filter placed upon thy lips
A few truths told but none ever slips
Her lips move with a sort of Grace
The cliche Candlelight glow upon her face
You can tell she's trying hard to remain inside
Being cautious from other lovers who have lied
he feels faint but he won't let her know in any way
In fear of anything this beauty might say
A first meeting, Second Glance, third smile of the date
Should I smile back, or is it too late?
The brow of angst is slowly lifted
Now the tone of the night has shifted
My Palms turn into waterfall of Desire
It's the first time, but this woman I admire
