Love Poem: Fire Side Chats

Fire Side Chats

Next to your fireplace we lay
As the latter morning drowns out the day

Butterfly kisses
I touch you
Where ever the weather misses
Ruins stray
Amongst this palate we lay
Yet you pull me closer
Should I stay?
 “What bothers you most?”
She complies
My mind wonders
What else could I say?

Next to your fireplace we lay
As the latter morning drowns out the day

Secrets reveal
Nothing more
Than a broken crush
As our pores gently touch
No words spoken
Could slow this rush
Loves lush
A bodiless lust
Tomorrow
Seems to be
Too much
I miss you

Next to your fireplace we lay
As a latter morning drowns out the day

Morning leaves and comes
Palm to palm
We meet
Until your tears have calm
You apologize
I smile
I hold you
I accept
You console me
As though
I am your child
