Love Poem: Finding God

Finding God

Finding God

A moment I rest from my toil
dirty hands from earthly soil
A thought still screams at me
did God make the beauty I see

Rows of sweet corn all gleaming
beside a brook coolly streaming
Peach orchard on that green hill
this is a God given joyous thrill

I have had this thought before
agonizing pain deep in my core
Where is HE that never finds me
so far away hiding behind a tree

A voice whispers so glad you ask
have been waiting to do this task
Bend ye down to just silently pray
glory, I have found you on this day
