Finally Got Over You
Every now and then you appear out of the blue
And you think that I still miss you
And at times I think it just might be true
I can still remember our first kiss
But you're no longer the one I miss
What we had was so long ago
A little thing like your ego
Kept us apart for so long
And since then I've found where I belong
Once in a while
I still see your smile
Hear a song or see a place
But to see your face
Doesn’t hurt me anymore
I'm much stronger than I was before
Now when I think of what used to be
It can no longer get the best of me
You don’t get to me like you used to in the past
Cuz now I have something that's gonna last
Something you know nothing about
Cuz when stuff gets rough you get out
A small part of me will always love you
But it will never come close to
What we had once upon a time
And as for me now that's just fine
You played a part in who I am today
But I've learned along the way
You just have to take life day by day
The good and the bad
But when one chapter ends
A new story begins
He found what you lost
He's been the man you couldn't be
This man really loves me
And he's not afraid to let it show
The kinda man that wants the world to know
He knows what he wants and won't let go
He's been there in times of high and of low
But by my side is where he stays
Thru my good and bad days
And that's the kinda man I need

After all you taught me that
But with him is where I'm at
And where I want to stay
Unlike you I don’t fear him walking away
I believe that much he's proved
And with him even I've improved
So proud of what I've overcome
And even more the person I've become
