Belied expectations
We are crestfallen

In agitation
Our anguish
But egoic glue
Which we renew
In delusion languish
An illusion is broken
As bubble bursts
As we thirst
Forsaken
Our desire
Always seeking
Sensations pleasing
Doomed one day to expire
Fleeting images external
Only rise to fade away
Why then we sway
In moods fickle
Love eternal
Is an outpouring
Fragrance radiating
Compassion spherical
Look not for reciprocation
Love is unconditional
God’s own miracle
Bliss elation
