Love Poem: Fear Lingering

Fear Lingering

What if tomorrow never comes
And leaves me frail alone and blue
In my ear echoes sound of drums
Life would be barren without you

My saddened heart could not construe
What if tomorrow never comes
In stormy skies where no birds flew
Of love remaining merely crumbs

The melody my finger strums
Where there were hearts that beat as two
What if tomorrow never comes
Forsaken morning breaks in lieu

Unsung prayers shushed as taboo
Lingering fear that it becomes
What if this is naught but adieu
What if tomorrow never comes
