Love Poem: Falling In Love

Falling In Love

It only takes a moment,
But lets you care forever,
To free, reason and understand:
In him you fully and safely land.

You can give to him with your all,
And more, but your best is truly enough:
Your suggestions, perceptions and hopes,
He will never in any way snuff.

The weeks that follow find your building,
Upon that meeting of the eyes,
Which continue on in his looks of care,
His love for you that he can't disguise.

He convinces you that you are feeling too,
Sided with him, to always fight his corner,
And that he can discuss with you his shames,
Knowing to always go just that step further.

Life is metamorphosed,
Into happy, when it was sad,
And you know he’ll talk to you,
If you are ever bad.

The only description of it,
Is that you are chained in love to one another,
But to claim this restraint is to lie,
And certify each others ardour.

I really think your first love is your best,
And that he’ll never die away,
But stay with you, in your heart forever,
Giving you confidence in your way.
