Love Poem: Fallen

Fallen

The winds have shifted; the sky has turned dark
The leaves have all fallen, their branches now stark

Tidy lawns reveal bare spots, withered grass all around
Dawn's of chirping bereft; geese stream out of town

So too our love, once so warm, invaded by the chill
Of Autumn's grim march, over meadow and hill
