Fairy Tales
We shared years together.
Almost a lifetime, in fact.
All and every endeavor.
It turned out, all an act.
It was good, before it was bad.
But maybe we could get through.
I ended up feeling nothing but sad.
Of course no responsibility fell on you.
At one time, I believed in forever.
I once believed in fairy tales too.
I sadly realized my mistake however.
I was wrong to have faith in you.
It has taken too many tears.
I thought they would never end.
I cried for each one of those years
That I wasted trying to pretend.
