Faded Fool

vs 1
This is a cloud where life disappears.
A space in a space in a space of mirrors.
Dimension of time gets lost in the heart.
Sometimes love never die's just because you're apart.

chorus
The afternoon sun is still hanging on.
In hopes that it's warmth will last till the dawn.
The gravity's leaning towards turning around.
While I'm on my knee's trying to make up lost ground.

vs2
You look to the east, you look to the west.
But endlessly wonder which way is the best.
The sleep in your eye's leave's you stuck in the sand.
You wanted to play, but didn't join the band.

vs 3
There's echo's of memories I don't understand.
But never the less, they are my command.
The teacher is learning with each newborn day.
That sometimes the pupil just wants to go play.

vs 4
A walk in the dark where you're lost in the past.
As the magic dispels what lost love once did cast.
You endlessly question just what's it about.
As you hope and you pray, but you're so filled with doubt.

refrain
You're broken, alone, and wishing you'd died.
As it has been decades since you've even tried.
Asking how can a loser believe he can win.
When the one that he lost won't let him back in.
