Facets of Love

Two romantic poems, two aspects of love . . . . For lovers the world's a beauteous place To love and be loved puts smiles on one's face It raises the spirits, makes pulses race And feelings of gloom vanish without trace. Birdsong sounds sweeter as they fly so high The sun's golden rays burst forth from the sky The moon and the stars lend a heav'nly glow Enchanting lovers who stroll down below. * * * * * * * You strode towards me, Godlike as Adonis Answering my prayers, just as you had promised I'd never beheld such perfection bestowed As though sculpted in bronze - made my senses implode. 'Twas not your perfections that captured my heart I knew of your chivalry right from the start Pray mark well this truth as I promise you this There's no words to describe those sweet moments of bliss. 27th October 2020
