Love Poem: Eventually

Eventually

She sits alone wading in all her misery
As the reflection of her past comes to mind once again
Then there's the wondering of what her future will be
Life is a game she just can't seem to win
Sometimes from it she rages
Sometimes from it she's calm
Either way, or in between, all she does is praise him
The love she feels for him is all she knows

She puts him on that pedestal way up high
Even though he has never asked her to
To him she is trying to be so faithful and true
Yet she knows in making him see this, there's so much more to do
Sometimes she is still crying in the night
And pretending by the light of day
It can't be wrong when it feels so very right
The intenseness of the emotion she feels won't sway

See he has always carried her from her desperation
When she suffered immensely from her own alienation
He held her up high so she could be alive and free
With him by her side he made her be able to do anything, made her strong, so it's really no
wonder why she still needs him now so desperately
So she may be swallowed up in all her misery
But she believes down deep that he will come back to her again someday, somehow,
someway...eventually
