Love Poem: Eternal This Love

Eternal This Love

"I dedicate this love poem to my one true love and eternal Valentine." Quote - by Constance The day I first saw you my whole life changed, my world went spinning out of control; and was I falling in the blue ocean of your eyes, then, you spoke and it was musical. I felt like I could not speak any sense, like if I did, you would disappear suddenly; but you didn't and I could and how we spoke, in moments it was an instant love. A whirlwind romance and I said yes, yes, you were everything that I had dreamed of; my prince charming, my one and only true love, we were looking forward to life. Then, everything shattered for me, my true love was gone from this world; and I stood at his grave with a red rose, I was like a stone cemetery statue. Years have passed and I go to his grave, even in the falling snow, I go to find him; even in the rain, and wind, and swirling leaves, and I will go till my last breath for love's sake. ____________________ January 27, 2023 Poetry/Verse/Eternal This Love Copyright Protected, ID 01-1520-570-27 All Rights Reserved, 2023, Constance La France Written for the Premiere contest, For Love's Sake sponsor, Regina McIntosh, Judged 01/29/2023 Sixth Place
