Eternal Love

How can one ever describe real love An all consuming ache for someone A feeling that's difficult to describe in words It defies cliches and interpretations In reality it captures the honest simplicity The basis of what life is about It's the best description anyone's come up with Plain and simple without a doubt When it finally happens, it's never a question Feelings deep down let's you know That this one's a keeper so hang on for dear life You're approaching the love plateau Where life for the first time has real meaning Finally everything falls into place From that point forward true happiness reigns Can't wipe the smile from your face The things that seemed so important before No longer have any urgency Down for the count, there's no turning back A love that lasts for eternity © Jack Ellison 2015
