Eternal Embrace
When I met you for the first time
In a rose garden down the road
You were dancing with joy,
Slow-motion, eyes closed,
To the rhythm of a music sleek
Orchestrated by the vibes
In shades pumping your heart.
Engrossed in my solitude
But uplifted by the firework
At play in front of me, my gaze
Transfigured with tenderness
Swayed over you
Soaking in intoxication
Strange and spiritual
All owed to you.
Suddenly you opened your eyes
The narrative veered
The heavens opened up literally
As you sprang into my arms
And I hugged you warmly.
The stars twinkled
And the moon shone
As a long shear of light blew across
This lonely landscape cosmic
Freezing us into our eternal embrace.
