Enticing Friendship ( Ghazal )

Enticed, I knew, she wanted more, than a touch, though I stayed restrained,
That night, I massaged her back so right, though thoughts remained.

Each passing moment, delivered passionate reverbs, into my head,
I dared not, knowing we could never be forever, though thoughts remained.

We were friends, shared so much, but that was all, that we would ever be,
Not blessed in true passion, each different in fashion, though thoughts remained.

I left defenseless, mystified, why I never took advantage, of her body,
I recall, each moment, feeling her heart reach, though thoughts remained.

I left in friendship; she left the next day, for another life, in another place,
I stayed home, split for a while, love found my style, though thoughts remained.
