Love Poem: End of the Rain

End of the Rain

I will not regret the things that I have done
I will always cherish the memories hard won
Of our time spent together, however breif
Forever treasuring the smiles and laughter, the tears and the grief
I will look back one day with a secretive smirk
And maybe by then I will have forgiven you, you jerk

I realise now friends we could never have remained
I wish you happiness but with a shot of pain
I hope that you feel and will always remember
That trust and pain sometimes go in hand together
For to trust in another and earn their trust in turn
There is always the chance that one or both will be burned

We are all living through our own issues and fears
We can not make it all alone, we can not always stop the tears
I choose to move on. Forgive and forget
I wish not to hold anger and wish not to regret
I will always remember the fun and the pain
With a smile on my face as an end to the rain.
