Love Poem: Empty

Empty

When you left I cried
Something in me just died
Who’d believe one can feel so empty

Want to just give up
Drown my sorrows in a tub
Barely clinging on to life

Feel so brokenhearted
Since our lives parted
Emptiness invading my body

What I’d give to feel happy
Your memory left me syrupy
All I’m feeling now is empty

Only you can erase this sadness
Only you can re-ignite my happiness
Is it too much to ask to save my life?

If only we could be again
Taking the pressure away to breathe again
We could be so happy together again

It’s in your hands to save me now
If only you’d be willing to allow
Erase this empty space, fill it with our love

I’d never want anything more
I love you deep within my core
Please take away my emptiness
