From the day we said hello
To the night we said goodbye
You I would never be able to let go
Never could I count all the tears I cry
From my thoughts never to far did your memory every stray
So why does life have to get in the way
It's the little things that remind me everyday
Of the words back then I couldn't say
So now on these pages of paper I let them in forms of poems be said
They're out there now and not kept in my head
For each other our hearts have bled
Perhaps that's why we ran the other way and for years have fled
I thought before I could but you are the only one I could never replace
I close my eyes and all I see is your face
