Love Poem: Edenous View

Edenous View

I swore I wouldn't tell you
not a chance that I would write
I put away all those pictures
keeping them way out of sight

Moon's silver glow was dancing
 mysteriously upon my bed
 slowly twisting and twirling
along with thoughts of you inside my head

A burst of glory awakened me
at the break of dawn's new light
 calling out to the bluebirds
that everything was going to be alright

I swore I wouldn't tell you
even if something was going wrong
but I knew you were humming
along to every note of her sweet song

The sugar maples were changing
from dark olive to blushed burnt red
and I pictured you pleasantly smiling with
a soft lace camisole covering your pretty head

Off through the woods I wandered
as did the burden of an empty mind
 hoping I would discover answers
to the many questions that I'd find

I walked aimlessly in amazement
through an Edenous place that I adored
alone just me and Mother nature
 enchanting me with her lore

Oh how I wish you were there beside me
making all my dreams come true
 strolling slowly towards the horizon
 this man and beautiful you
