Years raced across the young mind so forlorn In wasteland a parched traveler wandered Journey seemed destined to end all alone In summer cloud you came rained in my yard. Dormant dreams bloomed flowers in my garden Time stopped as we lay under the moist sky Shrouded moon took me to dawn heart broken The cloud flew away I didn’t know why. Journey I resumed on a new landscape My heart stronger never again to break Invents clouds for shade the scorch to escape Mind holds nothing for life to turn a wreck. Rains would come and go fleeting clouds won’t stay I’m content for each day is a new day. September 19, 2017. Contest : Taking a disappointment in your life turning it into something positive.
