Love Poem: E Equals To Mc Square

E Equals To Mc Square

In the morning of a new year day
I stood on the spot where
The vindictive little boy fell
I disrobed garments of beauty
From the place
And saw ruins and bones
A white moon was still hanging sadly
On the winter sky
Frozen in ashes of souls

My heart sank with my knees
Felt the heat of death
Which evaporated
A war ridden citizen
While opening his lunch pack
Sitting on the steps of an old building
Only his shadow remained
Etched on the stone steps

The dryness surprised me
Because I didn't cry
For I had nothing to empty anymore
As I saw the ghost of that mushroom cloud
Haunting the place
I was afraid even to weep

A toddler who loved to ride his tricycle
Was buried in his father's backyard
Victim of a blind inferno
But his tiny bike
Remained standing as a rusted witness

Cold fingers of a maple leaf
Held my hand
I looked up
And saw my tears on it
Stained with blood

Rainbows of paper cranes
Fluttered lazily
Cradling unfulfilled wishes of a little girl
Who was erased
By evil hands of science

Night came along
With chillness of graves
And I found myself on a tatami
Huddling beside a doll in a black kimono
And we entwined
Like twin paper cranes
