Dying Cry

Dying Cry
By: Aidan Gilbert

Oh please don’t you cry
My love is not an empty lie
Please don’t wish for a better day
I have more, I have more to say
I have your one hidden wish
It is my last kiss
Don’t you dare let your soul die
I have too much hope to let you say goodbye
But I’m sorry my love never tried
This stormy cloud won’t stick with rain
Please come and joyous sun it will gain
I’m sorry about your pretty white dress
My broken heart tear stained it into a mess
You are my one and only
Sorry that picture you could never see
God show me your unfailing grace
Return to me her face
God where did I go wrong
I wrote her his song
Maybe she left because she never heard it
That’s why I lost her bit by bit
Maybe it’s because I’m not a man
Too much ignorance to hold her hand
Your now my dying cry
I wish I didn’t have to say goodbye
