Dying
After bargaining with God for more time
with his soulmate in the twilight of his life
he accepts his fate, at last. And so begins
the painful, long goodbye.
Mountain streams of tears have been shed,
there's none left to cry. He's leaving behind
his beloved wife of over half a century
How lonely it all feels, even with...
the constant company of family.
Colorful flowers in the spring of his life,
wilted. He's conceded defeat to the cancer
that is slowly draining life out of him.
At peace, waiting for death on his schedule.
His grown children beg him to fight on,
but he knows from Doc all hope is lost, requests
they take care of mom...on his behalf.
