Love Poem: Dusty Feet

Dusty Feet

Dusty Feet

Your hands are for healing.
Your eyes I adore.
Your feet walked from heaven
To dusty earth floor.

You speak truth and love.
You share treasured time.
You lift up the song in
My heart without rhyme.

You draw out the lost
In the bustling crowd.
You shun not the sinner
the lofty or the proud.

At the well you show kindness.
At the wedding you share.
At the temple cast out
Those who shouldn't be there.

You feed all the hungry.
You settle the storm.
You show that stone throwing
Just isn't the norm...

Where you come from is peaceful
With a worshipful  buzz.
And you're bringing this Earth-ward
Just to share it with us.

And what have I learned
As you hang from a tree?
That your presence has shown us
How a good life can be.
No opulent gesture, or lavish display
But quietly walking the narrowest way.

And the weight of the world
As You silently bend
Tells of love beyond favour
My Saviour.
My friend.
