Love Poem: Drowning

Drowning

A worthy sea in which to drown,
A crowd to chase me out of town,
A compromise that makes you frown,
A solution as you push me down,

The struggle as my organs roar,
The shouting as they reach the shore,
The one somehow I still adore
That pushes me below once more,

No panic at the numbing pain,
No screaming though the crowd remain,
No point my heavy lungs to strain,
No chance of coming up again.
