Love Poem: Dreams

Dreams

She picks up her books
That fell on the floor
But her hands are so full
They fell again once more

She takes a deep breathe
And picks them up again
She’s a new student
Boy what away to begin

She drops it all on her bed
After she enters her dorm
Gets a call from a wrong number
And a friendship was born

They found love that summer
Of the very same year
But she lives in America
And he was from India

But their parents didn’t approve
The mix in their religion
Because he was a Hindu
And she was a Christian

When they close their eyes
Their hearts come together as one.
But with the distance apart
They know their dream was gone

They would comfort each other
Always knew just what to say.
And as the hope slowly disappears
They still say it will be okay

They was a special connection about them
and these days it seems to be gone.
And they know they had to let it go
But it's just so hard to move on.

Many nights she cries alone
And she never tells him a thing
Many nights lay a wake thinking
Of the love their friendship bring

But they know it was time to let go
The road has reach the end
And thought it was not meant to be
They always remain each other friend

She cries the day he got married
Her young tender heart fills with pain
And how I wish I could hug her
And say one day you will dream again
