Dream Catcher
God must have created the stars while thinking about your eyes
You pull me closer to heaven and I pull you back down to earth,
Not all dreams are dreamt but you will never reach the stars if you don’t open your eyes
And as I opened my eyes to look at you there was something that told me I should try to remember this dream
As I tend to forget most of my dreams when I do have them
We didn’t even talk that night but no words were needed, I had found the woman of my dreams
I had seen bits in pieces on other nights but it is just now all coming together
Looking at her was like looking at everything I ever wanted to have or accomplish right before me
If you could have what you wanted most right away would you be patient or take it with no concern for time
We always complain that there is not enough time but never thank time for what it has allowed us
Patience serves as a teacher that teaches many other subjects
So, I decided to take it slow because even though things would be hard I knew she was more than worth it
I saw us conquering the world while we travel to our favorite destinations
We took time for what it was and not for granted
We loved each other through the hardest times even when it took longer than desired
Knowing that this would shape the future smile we had not yet felt
We built our habits which built our dreams and because of patience now in silence we can hear angels sing
I have dreamt this same dream off and on but now it is coming true
I always dreamed of her and now she is my reality
From hanging on my mirror, to my thoughts, to my memories
