Love Poem: Dream Angel

Dream Angel

As each day goes by
it ends in a sigh
I pray for love so dear
but it never seems to appear
Heaven has me on hold
so alone my heart is cold
Yet when I close my eyes to sleep
I smile for Dream Angel is mine to keep

Dream Angel, Dream Angel hold me in your arms
Dream Angel, Dream Angel thrill me with your charms
Pretty and divine each night you are mine
But when the alarm rings
the loneliness of my day stings

The rudeness of the day
keeps my Dream Angel away
I long for the night
so I can hold her tight
Punch in punch out
this is what life's about
Never time to fine
that special someone to call mine all mine

Dream Angel, Dream Angel could you be real
Dream Angel, Dream Angel why am I unfulfilled
Your only a dream, an imaginary thing
I need flesh and blood
I need a real girl to love

It's late evening, alone in a cafe
I see Connie walking my way
We share a slice of pie
and the twinkle in our eyes
I walk her home
we share numbers on our phones
I never sleep and it's alright
For we talk talk talk all night

Dream Angel, Dream Angel goodbye
Dream Angel, Dream Angel goodbye
No longer do I need you in my dreams
for now I sleep with the real thing
And when the alarm rings
my happy heart sings
For I have Connie by my side
Those lonely nights I kiss goodbye
