Love Poem: Dream

Dream

The sunset was a multitude of oranges and red, the only sound was of the breeze kissing the trees. I felt his warm strong arms encircle my waist and pull me to him as a soft sigh escapes me.
He turns me toward him and our eyes search each other speaking the thoughts our words could not form. He pulled my face closer with hands strong and gentle together. As his lips met mine I could feel my resolve ebbing away. I was home.

We came together, as the sun left the sky, with a fire that nearly consumed us, our souls melting together as one. The feeling was so profound that it hurt. Being with him was as easy as breathing.

We laid together in the soft moon light when the alarm rudely rang, louder and louder. I moaned , only a dream.
