Love Poem: Dracula Woman

Dracula Woman

I wish I could wake from this dream to see everything before me.
The clouds, the sky, the birds that sing, a soul in early mourning.
It's raining the same way it always seems to rain.
The street melts beneath my feet,
Asphalt adheres to thoughts that never flew.
Like saying, " Let me hold the door!".
Just to watch it close on you!

I cannot receive those, who cannot see truth.
I cannot read dead letters, when I see them though and through.
As if you're made of glass, I see your future through your past.
They're both filled with cracks and we'll soon be falling fast.
I saw the future play out in a moment that was a dream.
It felt like years,
but only how it seemed.
Dead lullabies pouring over words mumbled by lips that have been sewn shut.
I tried to keep them open,
I swear I loved you so much.
My heart still bleeds from the night you sucked it dry, you stitched it in the night.
Still a vampire in my eyes,
I see darkness in yours.
You've perfected regret inside my heart,
Thanks for blocking out the shame.
This road you've led me down,
Thanks for blotting out the pain.
A day in your life i'm entangled in a storm,
My fingers knotted in your hair,
My arms Bleeding from your thorns.
