Dog In Heaven
My poor little guy,
Why did you have to go?
My home is so empty without you.
You are gone in my sight,
But not in my mind.
To many, you were just a pet.
To me, you were my best friend.
You have brought laughter and joy to us all.
Days when there was sadness,
You brought happiness.
Like no other,
You stayed by side.
You were one who had endless love for me no matter what.
Perhaps I may get a new dog in the future,
But you will never lose this place in my heart.
Your loyalty and love will never be replaced.
For you are up in heaven now,
And God has received the best angel of them all.
