Love Poem: Do They Cry For Him

Do They Cry For Him

She heard the seagulls plaintive cry
As she sat upon the shore,
Do they cry for him she thought,
Her love, who was no more.

She gazed across the water
And wished that he was there,
But no, death had took him
She just stared, and stared.

The lapping of the waves
Seemed to ease her troubled mind.
Hypnotic in their rhythm,
The sea was being kind.

But soon the spell was broken
Her grief returned again,
The crying of the seagulls
Resounded, with her pain.
